Fake Designer Handbags: Why You Should Not Buy One
Let’s face it, designer bags are expensive and only those with deep pockets can afford it. This is one of the reasons why a lot of women are tempted to buy replica or fake designer handbags. The cost is just a small fraction of the price of an authentic designer bag. But before giving in to the temptation, consider these things on why you should not buy fake designer handbags:
- It is illegal to buy and sell fake items. To avoid further embarrassment, do not purchase fake designer handbags because it can be confiscated or worse you might even get arrested for patronizing fake products.
- It does not offer the same quality as genuine designer handbags. These bags are made of sub-standard materials and often have poor craftsmanship. You might see crooked seams or missing stitches, definitely not worth your hard-earned money.
- It will affect the economy because the manufacturers of the fake designer handbags do not pay taxes. Sellers of the counterfeit do not pay taxes too and everything is done “under the table”.
These are some of the reasons why you should not buy fake designer handbags. If your budget will not allow you to splurge on expensive bags, you can either wait until you have the money or opt for other brand of bags. What about you, do you buy replica handbags?

we’ll there’s nothing wrong in buying imitation product. but lets face it too that majority of people these days can’t afford to buy the authentic one. It is illegal and we all know that but selling counterfeit items is very rampant in PI and even in other countries too. Guess what? There are a lot of counterfeit products here in America

Then I’ll buy ukay-ukay nalang.. lol… so how do we know that they’re authentic, because they bear serial no and the material bears quality … but truth is they are actually manufactured in the same factory if not in China then in Taiwan..

am not really into designer stuff….I have other priorities to buy…a lot of people are buying replicas, and I don’t know anybody who got arrested because of it.

for Moms like us, buying designer handbags is not on top of our priority
Getting arrested is the worst thing that could happen when buying replicas whether handbags or other items

Fake/ Replica. I am not after the brand names and will not buy face bags to be in the trendy can afford group. As long as I like the design of the bag, cheap one, brandless or unknown. And besides there are a lot of cheap branded but good quality bags out in the market.

You know, I’m not an expert in knowing what’s counterfeit or not when it comes to designer bags. So what I do is look for bags in ukay-ukay shops because if the quality is still good even when it’s old, that means it’s authentic!
September 29th, 2012 at 12:58 am
I don’t buy fake designer bags because i can’t afford buying kahit ung mga fake. Hehe

If there’s one thing my husband and I absolutely stand for, it’s avoiding anything fake, we don’t buy pirated DVDs, CDs, download music illegally, or buy anything fake, we just think that it’s wrong, it is after all, stealing.
I would rather have a bag that has no brand than buy a cheap knock off, it’s more dignified and besides, it’s how you carry yourself that matters..

I agree it’s illegal to patronize fake products. Wait, when you already have enough fund to buy an authentic bag. If your pocket can’t afford it, then settle for non-designer bags that are well-made. We have lots of high quality leather bags made here in the Philippines.
Let me just clear my point, we should not patronize things that are illegal.

and embarrassing if someone tell you in public, in front of other people, that your bag is fake
