I have to admit that I am bigger compared to some people I know. But being big should not stop me or any other plus size women from dressing up and looking good. I do not need to wear sacks just to hide my size; I have learned a couple of dress up tricks that would seem to remove some pounds of my body. I would like to share these tips with other plus size women out there:
- Choose the right color; go for the earth-toned ones such as beige, tan and ecru. You can also go on the darker shade too. Wearing all black is sure-fire way to shed off some pounds visually.
- Opt for a V-neckline or patterns to provide the illusion to your waist and hips.
- Show a little skin to make you look a little thinner than your actual weight. You may choose to expose a little of your collar bone or add some details on your sleeves to distract the attention from your arms.
- Wear vertical lines to create the visual image that you are thinner it adds to your length. However, instead of the usual vertical lines simply try to wear something that has vertical patterns or panels.
- Choose a dress with draping properly executed on one side to help hide the belly bulges and would make the hips of plus size women seem to be a little bit slimmer too.

More often, we dress to impress but if you are trying to lose weight; then you should dress to compress. When you dress to compress is the perfect way to deal with sore muscles.
Your workout clothes should be made from nylon or spandex leggings when you perform your workout routines. This will give your muscles a good squeeze. You would not experience achy muscles after your workout compare to wearing loose garments during workout.
It is because the constrictive clothing such as nylon and spandex would minimize the swelling of muscles yet increase the flow of blood in the body. If you are comfortable with your workout clothes, chances are you will be more encouraged to carry out more workout routines.

Who says that mothers cannot be supermodels? When it comes to fashion for mothers, it is limitless. Fashion has no rules, so no matter what age you are, you can wear whatever you want. Mothers can glam it if they want to.
There are so many beauty queens, supermodels and actresses that are now mothers but still looks fashionable. No one needs to succumb to the “old maid” mother look. That is old news- Moms can look as glam as they want. Think about Katie Holmes, Kate Hudson, Lea Salonga, Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach, Dianara Torres, Heidi Klum, Nicole Kidman –they are all moms but they still look amazing.
Sure, you may see them wearing sweats once in a while but when they decide to dress up and glam up; they’ll still turn heads in the red carpet. Fashion for Mothers has definitely evolved from being such a drab to head-turn fab.
